Junior Financial Controller

As a Medior Data Scientist, you will be collecting, analysing and interpreting data on a daily basis. This requires an extensive set of skills. You not only require analytical skills but you are also expected to be able to convey insights you gather from the data to management. Your expertise as a Medior Data Scientist helps companies understand complicated situations and promotes effective decision-making. You help senior management in finding the best ways to improve and automate existing processes

What will you be doing?

  • Analysing and structuring data sources through the use of new technology;
  • Analysing various data sources to generate new insights and find patterns;
  • Creating and implementing technical solutions for various parts of the organisation (process optimisation and or automation);
  • You are involved in building and validating (predictive) models;
  • Helping to come up with technical solutions to data-related issues;
  • Possibly coaching and training Junior Data Scientists

Here’s what you can count on

  • A gross monthly salary of between €3.500 and €4.500;
  • A learning path tailored to your situation;
  • 1-on-1 guidance and career counselling by a field manager;

  • A laptop and smartphone;
  • 22.5 days' leave based on a 36 hour-per-week contract;
  • A one-year contract with the possibility of a permanent employment contract on good performance in your first year;
  • Promotion opportunities, for example, to positions such as Senior Data Scientist, Data Modeller, Data engineer or possibly even a managerial position.

Here’s what you bring to the table

  • A University Degree in Econometrics, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics or similar;
  • At least 2 years of experience in (predictive) analytics, machine learning techniques and/or data modelling;
  • Experience working in one or more programming languages, including SQL, Python, R or Scala, PySpark;
  • Knowledge of visualisation tools like Tableau or Microsoft PowerBI;
  • A good command of the Dutch and English language.
